All participants, by entering the competition, agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
The Joburg Shopping Festival newsletter competition starts at 09h00 on 24 April 2017 and will end at 12h00 on 29 June 2017.
Ten (10) entrants stand the chance to win one (1) prize each. The prize is a stay at any City Lodge hotel in South Africa for two (2) guests and two (2) Gautrain gold cards, each pre-loaded with R200. Applicable City Lodge and Gautrain terms and conditions apply. One winner will be announced each week.
The Promoter reserves the right to cancel this competition at any time, and to award prizes only to the winners that have been drawn up to that point.
The winner(s) will be drawn at random from all correct entries received by the draw date.
The prizes are as stated and are not transferable to another individual. No cash or other alternatives will be offered. The winner(s) is(are) responsible for expenses and arrangements not specifically included in the prizes, including any necessary travel documents, passports and visas. Prizes are subject to availability and the prize suppliers’ terms and conditions. In the event of a prize being unavailable, the promoter reserves the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
The competition is open to all persons, excluding employees of the Promoter and its partners and their immediate family. Proof of identity and age may be required. Use of a false name or email address will result in disqualification.
To enter, subscribe to the Joburg Shopping Festival newsletter, either:
a. On the Joburg Shopping Festival website, www.joburgshoppingfestival.co.za
b. Via a Facebook advertisement placed by the Joburg Shopping Festival
All entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition.
Important notice: the Promoter is not liable for any technical failures affecting participation in the competition and it assumes no liability whatsoever for any entry that has been omitted from participation for any reason whatsoever.
The Promoter may refuse to award the prize if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices.
Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners via the email address used to enter the competition and subscribe to the newsletter. If the winners cannot be contacted, do not respond within five (5) business days of first email contact, or are unable to comply with these terms and conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant drawn at random. Failure to respond and/or collect the prize, or failure to meet the eligibility requirements, will result in forfeiture of the prize. The winners must collect their prize from the Joburg Shopping Festival offices in Johannesburg, unless specifically agreed otherwise.
The winners agree to the use of their name and photograph and will co-operate with any other reasonable requests by the Promoter relating to any post-winning publicity. The winners are expected to post at least once on their own social media platforms about their prize using the Promoter’s hashtag #JoburgShopFest and tagging the Promoter and prize sponsors (City Lodge Hotel Group and Gautrain) where possible. This post should preferably be done when they are enjoying their City Lodge stay or travelling on the Gautrain, in a manner that reflects positively on the sponsors as well as the Promoter.
